Care information

Fabric Care Instructions

Felt and upholstery should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, using mild cleaning agents. Dilute the cleaning agent with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and apply it to the soiled areas with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone, bleach or other solvents. In case of heavy contamination, use mild soap or a special upholstery cleaning agent. Avoid scratching, pressing, or rubbing the cleaned surface to prevent damage to its structure.

Metal Components

Wipe exterior walls and other metal components with a cloth dampened with a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone or other solvents. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces dry.

Glass

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the glass. Remove heavier contamination with liquid without ammonia.

System Furniture

Use a soft, dampened cloth for system furniture care. If soiling is heavy, soak the cloth in liquid or a mild furniture cleaning agent. Any whiteboard should be cleaned regularly with a special dry-erase cleaner, at least once a week or more often, depending on how often it is used.

Lighting
Hanging lamps and LED lighting should be wiped with a dry cloth, taking special care to avoid accidental damage or scratching.

Description

There is a reason the whiteboard is the last thing chosen in most fit-outs: the standard one is an aluminium-trimmed rectangle that undoes all the effort put into everything else in the room. The Lintex Wood is the whiteboard for the room where that matters. A crisp white magnetic ceramic steel surface sits inside a solid oak frame with sharp, mitred corners, held 20 mm off the wall on fittings you cannot see. It reads as a piece of joinery. Then someone picks up a pen.

Wood Oak Framed Whiteboard

A writing surface guaranteed for thirty years

The surface is ceramic steel: a layer of vitreous enamel fired onto steel at high temperature, which makes it harder than the marker, the eraser and most of what an office throws at it. It does not scratch under normal use, does not ghost, and the permanent marker comes off when a dry-wipe pen is written over the top. Lintex guarantees the writing surface for thirty years. The same surface is used on the frameless Air Whiteboard; Wood adds the oak. The surface is magnetic across its full area, and because it is steel rather than glass, ordinary office magnets hold. That is a practical advantage over a glass board if the team pins a lot of paper.

Solid oak, mitred corners, 20 mm from the wall

The frame is solid oak, FSC Mix certified, with the grain running the length of each side and the corners mitred to a clean 45-degree line. There is no visible bracket, screw or hanging wire; the fittings are concealed behind the board, so all you see on the wall is white inside oak. At 20 mm deep, it sits closer to the wall than any other framed board we sell, which suits corridors, small meeting rooms, and anywhere a projecting frame would catch a shoulder.

Designed by the Stockholm studio Halleroed, Wood is the plainest of Lintex's oak-framed boards, and that is the point. If you want coloured glass floating inside an oak frame, look at the Area; if you want a bentwood frame with a built-in pen shelf, the Frame Whiteboard. Wood is for the room that wants a whiteboard and a good edge.

The lowest-carbon framed board we sell

Wood has a published Environmental Product Declaration (EPD International, S-P-06989). The declared climate footprint for the 1508 x 1208 mm board is 30.2 kg CO2e across raw materials, transport and manufacture (A1–A3, GWP-IOBC), roughly half that of an equivalent glass board. Fifty-four per cent of the material is renewable, and fifty-seven per cent is recycled. The ceramic steel is Cradle to Cradle certified, the oak is FSC Mix certified (FSC-C170086), and spare parts are available so a damaged frame does not mean a new board. The board is safety tested to EN 14434:2023, the European standard for writing boards in education and workplaces. Lintex operates under ISO 14001:2015 and holds FSC Chain of Custody certification (DNV-COC-002282). If you are documenting a fit-out for BREEAM, SKA or WELL, we can supply the EPD with your order.
