A new acoustic meeting pod typically lands between £8,000 and £16,000, depending on size, brand and glazing. The same unit, three years old and properly refurbished, commonly sells for a fraction of that. For most buyers, the practical difference is cosmetic: acoustic performance comes from the panel construction and door seals, and neither degrades meaningfully over a pod's first decade if it's been serviced.

That gap is why used pods have become a serious option rather than a compromise — particularly for companies fitting out a second site, expanding a floor mid-lease, or adding call booths to a space that was designed before hybrid working made them essential.

There's a second reason, and for a growing number of our clients, it's the deciding one. A pod is a large piece of embodied carbon: steel frame, laminated glass, acoustic foam, MDF or ply carcass. Reusing one avoids both the manufacturing footprint of a new unit and the landfill weight of the old one. If your organisation reports on Scope 3 emissions or has a circular-economy commitment, buying refurbished and selling your redundant pods on are both reportable wins.
