Ply Power Module is an on-desk power source for the modern office. Featuring less plastic, Ply takes the traditional desktop power module in an exciting new direction when sustainability important to your business. Using birch plywood as a case and laminate front it offers vertical two gang power modules and horizontal three gang units.

The Ply Desktop Module is a high-quality electrical product promoting a circular economy. The Ply modules fall within the Quikfit range meaning components can be replaced by any member of staff with simple instructions. Meaning as technology advances you can purchase from us a replacement, fit without the need of a qualified technician and return to us the outdated component for recycling. Our modular system is more commonly referred to as “plug and play” in the office furniture industry.

Description

Ply Power Module is an on-desk power source giving users easy access to power sockets and USB charging ports when they need it most. Ply desktop power modules offer both a vertical two gang module and a horizontal three gang version, with a choice of international AC power sockets and the leading TUF 25W twin USB fast-charge ports, data and AV sockets.

Innovatively made using birch plywood and laminate, the Ply module delivers an exciting new desktop power solution that cuts out most of the plastic. Featuring plywood encasing with visible plywood edge detail and a choice of either premium “Alpine” white or dark grey matt laminate front trim to contrast or compliment the black socket fascias. An integral steel desk mount clamp in powder coat enables desk edge mounting with an optional through desk fixing. As a stylish finishing touch, a black & white rayon braided or blue power cord powers the unit.

Socket Fusing

UK sockets can be fitted with 5 x 20mm anti-surge ceramic fuses, with colour-coded fuse clips to denote the rating (3.15A/5A)

Power Cord Options

PLY is fitted with an 800mm black PVC power cord to Wieland GST18 male connector as standard, with braid sleeve option. Alternatively the required length power cord may be terminated with the appropriate mains AC plug for the socket type fitted.

Quality and Testing

All Ply Desktop Power units are manufactured using ISO9001 quality controlled components and practices and are 100% tested before dispatch. Visual: Configuration and appearance. Mechanical: correct operation of rotating mechanism. Power sockets: Continuity, polarity, insulation & earth USB charger: Output voltage and resistance

CE Marking

All units built with UK and European socket types are CE marked by OE Electrics as complying with: Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU Low Voltage Equipment Directive 2014/35/EU RoHS2 Directive 2011/65/EU

Certification

PLY module – BS5733. AC power sockets and plugs – BS1363, IEC60884 plus appropriate national variations. OE 5A TUF – IEC60950-1
