Fabric Care Instructions

Felt and upholstery should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, using mild cleaning agents. Dilute the cleaning agent with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and apply it to the soiled areas with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone, bleach or other solvents. In case of heavy contamination, use mild soap or a special upholstery cleaning agent. Avoid scratching, pressing, or rubbing the cleaned surface to prevent damage to its structure.

Metal Components

Wipe exterior walls and other metal components with a cloth dampened with a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone or other solvents. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces dry.

Glass

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the glass. Remove heavier contamination with liquid without ammonia.

System Furniture

Use a soft, dampened cloth for system furniture care. If soiling is heavy, soak the cloth in liquid or a mild furniture cleaning agent. Any whiteboard should be cleaned regularly with a special dry-erase cleaner, at least once a week or more often, depending on how often it is used.

Lighting
Hanging lamps and LED lighting should be wiped with a dry cloth, taking special care to avoid accidental damage or scratching.

A task chair that doesn’t ask you to choose

Office furniture budgets tend to force a compromise: specify properly ergonomic seating, and you can afford it for one floor, or specify to budget and accept a chair that raises and lowers and not much else. Senator engineered the Elate specifically to close that gap — affordability built in at the design stage rather than stripped out at the end, so the adjustments that actually affect how someone feels at 4pm survive the value engineering.

That matters more than it used to. Teams now split their week between home and the office, and the days they are in are back-to-back — desk work, calls, collaboration, and more desk work. A chair that fits properly for eight hours is no longer a perk for a handful of people. It’s the baseline for the whole floor.

Travel limitation in three steps lets each person set how much movement they want: locked upright for focused screen work, 7° for a relaxed working posture, or 15° for calls and reading. Combined with seat tension adjustment, that’s a genuinely wide range of postures from a chair at this price point.

80mm of adjustable lumbar range is the headline ergonomic figure and the reason the Elate holds up over a full day. Lower back support is only useful when it meets your lumbar curve, where it actually sits — 80mm of travel covers a very broad range of heights and torso lengths. It’s optional, so you can specify it where you need it and control cost across a large order.

50mm of seat depth adjustment solves the problem nobody talks about: a seat that’s too deep leaves shorter sitters perched forward with no back contact, while one that’s too shallow puts pressure behind the knees. Slide the pad to leave a couple of fingers’ clearance behind the knee and both the lower back support and leg comfort come right.

Height-adjustable arms with a multi-functional armpad bring forearms level with the desk, which is where shoulder and neck tension is either created or avoided.

Seat height from 440mm to 555mm — a usefully low starting point, and a wide enough range to seat most of a workforce properly. Getting the bottom of that range right is what lets shorter colleagues sit with their feet flat on the floor rather than reaching for a footrest.

Back and seat recline together, and the mechanism responds to the sitter’s body weight — so people of different builds get appropriate resistance without setting anything up first. That matters when you’re placing 200 identical chairs, and nobody is going to read a manual. Seating tension adjustment is there as well for anyone who wants to fine-tune the feel further.

Built to stay comfortable

The back is a high-performance technical mesh, tensioned across the frame to maintain support without sagging. Mesh does two jobs here: it distributes pressure across the back rather than concentrating it, and it breathes — welcome in an open-plan office in July, or under a south-facing window in a glass building.

The seat is moulded foam with a seam-free upholstery cover. Seam-free means no stitching to press into the back of your thighs over a long day, and it’s designed for ease of repair — so a single damaged chair in a 200-chair estate can be re-covered rather than replaced, which is kinder to both your budget and the amount of furniture you send to waste.

65mm castors run smoothly and stay controlled, so people move between desk, monitor and colleague without fighting the floor.
