Offset Wall Glass Whiteboard with Solid Oak Frame

Most whiteboards are bought to be useful and then apologised for. A white rectangle in an aluminium trim, screwed to the wall in the one room where the client is least likely to see it. Offset Wall is the other kind: a large magnetic glass whiteboard set into a thick solid oak frame, in 24 colours, designed by Halleroed for Lintex. It earns a place on the wall of the boardroom, the reception or the design studio, and it works as hard as any whiteboard you have ever owned.

Care information

Fabric Care Instructions

Felt and upholstery should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, using mild cleaning agents. Dilute the cleaning agent with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and apply it to the soiled areas with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone, bleach or other solvents. In case of heavy contamination, use mild soap or a special upholstery cleaning agent. Avoid scratching, pressing, or rubbing the cleaned surface to prevent damage to its structure.

Metal Components

Wipe exterior walls and other metal components with a cloth dampened with a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone or other solvents. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces dry.

Glass

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the glass. Remove heavier contamination with liquid without ammonia.

System Furniture

Use a soft, dampened cloth for system furniture care. If soiling is heavy, soak the cloth in liquid or a mild furniture cleaning agent. Any whiteboard should be cleaned regularly with a special dry-erase cleaner, at least once a week or more often, depending on how often it is used.

Lighting
Hanging lamps and LED lighting should be wiped with a dry cloth, taking special care to avoid accidental damage or scratching.

Delivery and Shipping

Typically, the lead time for most standard products is 4 to 6 weeks.

Description

A frame that does the talking

The frame is the point. It is solid oak, 46mm deep, with the glass sitting back inside it rather than flush with the front, which gives the board the proportions of a framed picture instead of an office fitting. Left natural, the oak warms up the flat colour of the glass and ties the board into timber desks, flooring and joinery. It is the difference between a whiteboard that belongs in the room and one that was added later.

24 colours

Both glass finishes are available in the full Lintex palette of 24 colours, from whites and soft greys through muted greens, blues, pinks and deep tones. A white or pale board behaves like a conventional whiteboard with better contrast. A darker colour becomes a design element in its own right and works with a light marker for a very different look. If you are matching to a paint reference or a brand colour, send it to us and we will advise on the closest glass option.

Magnetic, and properly so

The glass surface is magnetic, so documents, printouts and planning cards hold in place with neodymium magnets. Standard fridge magnets are too weak for glass; use the proper rare-earth type and it will hold a stack of A4 without complaint.

Materials and certification

The oak frame is FSC Mix certified (FSC C170086), meaning the timber comes from a mix of FSC-certified forests, recycled material and controlled sources. Lintex manufactures in Sweden. A glass writing surface does not wear out, stain or go grey the way melamine and painted steel boards do, so the board’s working life is measured in decades, not refits.

Sizes and configuration

Offset Wall is available in two large formats. Confirm size, glass finish and colour when you order; the board is made to order in Sweden and lead times are confirmed at quotation. If you need the same design on wheels, Offset Mobile pairs the glass board with an acoustic textile back and a stand.

Supplied and installed by Furnify

Furnify supplies Lintex writing boards across the UK and can install them through our own fitting company, Installify, including the tilted-mount configuration and fixings for solid, stud and glass-partition walls. Contact us with the wall dimensions and the finish you have in mind and we will confirm the right size and colour.

Offset Wall Glass Whiteboard Frame

A frame that does the talking

The frame is the point. It is solid oak, 46mm deep, with the glass sitting back inside it rather than flush with the front, which gives the board the proportions of a framed picture instead of an office fitting. Left natural, the oak warms up the flat colour of the glass and ties the board into timber desks, flooring and joinery. Offset Wall Glass Whiteboard with Solid Oak Frame

Three ways to put it on the wall

Offset Wall mounts vertically or horizontally, so the same board suits a tall wall panel or a wide run behind a meeting table. It can also be secured in a tilted position, leaning against the wall on the frame’s lower edge and fixed at the top, which is the configuration that turns it into a piece of furniture rather than a fixing. The lean makes a large board easier to write on across its full height, and it reads as deliberate in a way a flat-mounted board never does.

Offset Wall Glass Whiteboard Satin Glass Finish

Mood Glass or Silk Glass

The writing surface is tempered low-iron glass, which is what gives the colours their depth: standard glass carries a green tint that dulls a coloured backing, low-iron glass does not. You choose between two finishes.

Mood Glass is the classic gloss finish. Colours are saturated and reflective, and marker ink wipes off cleanly with no ghosting, because glass does not absorb ink the way a coated steel board eventually does.

Silk Glass® is the matte version. It has the same colour range and the same clean-erase surface, with a soft finish that kills reflections. If the board sits opposite a window, faces a camera in a video-conference room, or is regularly photographed to capture what was written, Silk Glass is the one to specify. It also takes a marker with a little more grip, which some people prefer.

FAQs

Can I use normal whiteboard markers on a glass whiteboard?

Yes. Standard dry-erase markers work on both Mood and Silk Glass. On a dark colour, use a light or neon marker for contrast.

Does it ghost or stain?

No. Glass is non-porous, so ink sits on the surface and wipes off completely. This is the main practical advantage over coated steel or melamine boards, which absorb ink over time.

What is the difference between Mood Glass and Silk Glass?

Mood Glass is a gloss finish with reflective, saturated colour. Silk Glass is matte, with the same colours but almost no reflection, which suits rooms with strong light or a video camera facing the board.

Is it magnetic?

Yes. Use neodymium (rare-earth) magnets; ordinary magnets are too weak for a glass surface.

How does the tilted mounting work?

The board rests against the wall on the lower edge of its oak frame and is secured at the top so it cannot tip. It gives a leaning, furniture-like look and makes the upper part of a large board easier to reach.

Can it be mounted on a glass partition or stud wall?

Yes, with the correct fixings. Tell us the wall type when you order, and Installify will specify and fit accordingly.

Is the oak sustainably sourced?

The frame is FSC Mix certified (FSC C170086).

Can I get it in a specific colour to match our branding?

There are 24 glass colours. Send us your reference and we will advise on the nearest match; the palette is designed to sit with most interior schemes rather than replicate exact Pantone or RAL codes.
