The Moai Lounge Chair takes its form from something unhurried — the soft, worn shapes of stones and bricks turned over by the tide. That same quality of gradual, considered rounding defines the large seat shell that envelops the sitter: an enclosed space that feels instinctively calm the moment you settle into it.
It is, as the designers put it, a quiet little room on four legs. Optimum acoustics and a high enclosing shell create genuine privacy — for a focused moment, a private conversation, or simply time away from the background noise of wherever you've put it. In an open-plan office, a hotel lobby, or a lounge area, Moai creates its own atmosphere without demanding attention.
The distinctive notched armrests are a detail that earns its place twice over — personality from a distance, practical support when you're getting up. From the side, the profile carries a slightly naive, monumental quality that references its namesake: the vast stone faces of Easter Island, patient and unmistakable.
