The design brief

The Geo Workbench delivers a multi-user desking system that allows workplace technology integration. Geo is detailed with circular design and the Workbench waste hierarchy policy front and centre. Environmentally, technology is one of the most challenging requirements for sustainable integration into a product as it changes rapidly. Embracing the rapid pace of technological advancements, Geo Workbench is designed to adapt. As innovations emerge, the individual cable management sections can also be upgraded, ensuring they remain at the forefront of modern workspace solutions.

Features & finishes

Geo Workbench's desking system has a minimalist steel framework that can accommodate numerous layout requirements and house as much cabling and IT as required. The raw steel framework features a clear powder-coat finish. Desktops are faced and finished in linoleum with an exposed plywood edge. For cable management, you can choose between cable hatches with power/data modules, proprietary surface-mounted modules, or cable grommets. Optional screens and storage pedestals complete the range.

Sustainability at its core

The Geo Workbench desk uses quality standard fixings and independent parts. If technology changes or Geo needs to adapt, it can be altered on a part-by-part basis rather than having to replace the whole product. This dramatically increases the life span or service of the desking system.

Environmental impact

At Workbench, they calculate the carbon footprint for scope 1, 2, and full scope 3. All their products are designed to meet their waste hierarchy policy of reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle. Workbench is in a unique position to design for reuse at the start of a product's life, and Geo encapsulates this.
