Bastille Lounge: deep, curved comfort that makes an entrance

Bastille Lounge takes the sweeping silhouette of the Bastille range and makes it lower, wider and more relaxed. You can have it as a club chair on a fixed base, with an optional auto-return swivel, or as a two- or three-seat sofa. It’s fully upholstered and built on a moulded foam back, so it brings a hospitality feel to receptions, breakout spaces and executive lounges.

Care information

Fabric Care Instructions

Felt and upholstery should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, using mild cleaning agents. Dilute the cleaning agent with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and apply it to the soiled areas with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone, bleach or other solvents. In case of heavy contamination, use mild soap or a special upholstery cleaning agent. Avoid scratching, pressing, or rubbing the cleaned surface to prevent damage to its structure.

Metal Components

Wipe exterior walls and other metal components with a cloth dampened with a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone or other solvents. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces dry.

Glass

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the glass. Remove heavier contamination with liquid without ammonia.

System Furniture

Use a soft, dampened cloth for system furniture care. If soiling is heavy, soak the cloth in liquid or a mild furniture cleaning agent. Any whiteboard should be cleaned regularly with a special dry-erase cleaner, at least once a week or more often, depending on how often it is used.

Lighting
Hanging lamps and LED lighting should be wiped with a dry cloth, taking special care to avoid accidental damage or scratching.

Bastille Lounge grew out of the Bastille range, and it keeps the thing people love about the original: a generous, contoured silhouette that wraps around you. The seat sits lower, at 385 mm, and it’s deeper, so people naturally lean back and settle in. That makes it a strong choice anywhere you want visitors and staff to slow down, like a reception, a client waiting area, a breakout zone or a quiet corner of the boardroom floor.

Built for comfort that lasts

The back is moulded foam, so it holds its shape and support over years of daily use. The seat uses a cut foam carcass for a firm, even base. Each piece is fully upholstered, with no exposed frame, creating the soft, continuous curve that defines Bastille. Plastic glides with felt protect hard floors and let the sofa slide gently into place.

Make it yours with multi-fabric upholstery

Bastille Lounge can be specified in a single fabric or a combination of fabrics. For example, you could use a contrasting inner and outer shell, or pick out brand colours on the back. When fabrics from different price bands are combined, the piece is priced at the highest band selected. What sizes does the Bastille Lounge come in?

It comes in three formats: a club chair, a two-seat sofa and a three-seat sofa. The three-seat sofa measures 2440 mm wide, 920 mm deep and 790 mm high, with a 385 mm seat height.

Does the Bastille Lounge chair swivel?

The club chair comes with a fixed base as standard. You can also choose an auto-return swivel base, which rotates and then returns the chair to its starting position when it’s not in use.

What is an auto-return swivel base?

It’s a swivel mechanism that brings the chair back to a set position after someone gets up. Seating in receptions and lounges stays neatly aligned without anyone having to rearrange it.
