Care information

Fabric Care Instructions

Felt and upholstery should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, using mild cleaning agents. Dilute the cleaning agent with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and apply it to the soiled areas with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone, bleach or other solvents. In case of heavy contamination, use mild soap or a special upholstery cleaning agent. Avoid scratching, pressing, or rubbing the cleaned surface to prevent damage to its structure.

Metal Components

Wipe exterior walls and other metal components with a cloth dampened with a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone or other solvents. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces dry.

Glass

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the glass. Remove heavier contamination with liquid without ammonia.

System Furniture

Use a soft, dampened cloth for system furniture care. If soiling is heavy, soak the cloth in liquid or a mild furniture cleaning agent. Any whiteboard should be cleaned regularly with a special dry-erase cleaner, at least once a week or more often, depending on how often it is used.

Lighting
Hanging lamps and LED lighting should be wiped with a dry cloth, taking special care to avoid accidental damage or scratching.

Delivery and Shipping

Typically, the lead time for most standard products is 4 to 6 weeks.

Description

One office table your whole team can gather around.

The Bae worktable by Orangebox — a Steelcase company — is a family of large-scale collaborative tables designed for the way modern teams actually work. As hierarchies flatten and hybrid working makes time together in the office more valuable, the Bae gives people a shared, community-style space to meet, work and eat around: part boardroom table, part bench desk, part refectory table.

Seats 8 to 20 people across 32 size variants. The Bae range spans single-bay and double-bay configurations (Bae-01 and Bae-02), from a compact 2700mm table for eight up to a 7140mm run seating twenty. Every table is 1400mm deep — generous enough for laptops, drawings and lunch on both sides — and available in two heights: a standard 730mm sitting height for meeting and boardroom use, or a 1070mm standing height that works beautifully as a poseur-style collaboration table in breakout areas and cafés.

Orangebox BAE Solid Oak Worktable

Built from solid industrial oak

The Bae’s frame is solid oak as standard, with walnut-stained and black-stained options available. Its refectory-inspired leg design leaves room for two people to sit between the legs, so nobody ends up straddling a table leg during a full meeting. Tops come in a choice of hard-wearing finishes, including five oak laminates and seven monochrome colours, so the table can either anchor a room or disappear into your scheme. The Bae also holds Intertek Clean Air certification for indoor air quality.

Which Bae configuration do you need?

  • Meeting and boardroom rooms — single-bay Bae at 730mm sitting height, seating 8–10, with a central power unit.
  • Open-plan collaboration zones — double-bay Bae seating 12–16, with LED lighting to define the space and power for all-day laptop working.
  • Cafés, canteens and breakout areas — standing-height (1070mm) Bae, doubling as a lunch table and an informal stand-up meeting point.
  • Libraries and touchdown working — long single- or double-bay runs with linear lighting, giving hot-deskers and visitors a shared place to land.

The Bae is designed and manufactured by Orangebox, the British furniture maker and Steelcase company, and supplied and installed UK-wide by Furnify as an authorised dealer.

How many people does a Bae table seat?

Between 8 and 20, depending on configuration. The range includes 32 size variants across single-bay (Bae-01) and double-bay (Bae-02) formats, from 2700mm to 7140mm wide. As a guide: a single bay seats 8–10 and a double bay seats 12–16, with the longest runs seating up to 20.

Is the Bae available as a standing-height table?

Yes. The Bae comes in a standard 730mm sitting height and a 1070mm standing height, ideal for breakout spaces, cafés and stand-up collaboration.

Can I add power and lighting?

What finishes are available?

The solid oak frame comes in natural oak as standard, with walnut-stained and black-stained options. Tops are available in five oak laminates and seven monochrome colours.
