Care information

Fabric Care Instructions

Felt and upholstery should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, using mild cleaning agents. Dilute the cleaning agent with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and apply it to the soiled areas with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone, bleach or other solvents. In case of heavy contamination, use mild soap or a special upholstery cleaning agent. Avoid scratching, pressing, or rubbing the cleaned surface to prevent damage to its structure.

Metal Components

Wipe exterior walls and other metal components with a cloth dampened with a mild all-purpose cleaning agent. Do not use agents containing alcohol, acetone or other solvents. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces dry.

Glass

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the glass. Remove heavier contamination with liquid without ammonia.

System Furniture

Use a soft, dampened cloth for system furniture care. If soiling is heavy, soak the cloth in liquid or a mild furniture cleaning agent. Any whiteboard should be cleaned regularly with a special dry-erase cleaner, at least once a week or more often, depending on how often it is used.

Lighting
Hanging lamps and LED lighting should be wiped with a dry cloth, taking special care to avoid accidental damage or scratching.

Delivery and Shipping

Typically, the lead time for most standard products is 4 to 6 weeks.

Description

The Archie arch, closed in

The Archie Arched Meeting Pod is the fully enclosed version of the Archie den. Same curved timber arch, same generous sofa or table seating, same UK manufacture — but with a full-height glazed front wall and a door, so the space inside becomes a room rather than an alcove.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. A roofed den is superb at what it does: it soaks up ambient noise, gives a team a visual boundary, and stops breakout conversations from bleeding across an open floor. What it cannot do is hold a confidential conversation or a video call where the room next door hears both halves. The moment you close the front with glass and hang a door on it, the pod stops being a soft acoustic zone and starts being a private meeting room — one you can drop into an open-plan floor in an afternoon.
Everything else about Archie stays exactly as it is. The arch is still the reason people choose it: a single sweeping curve that reads as architecture rather than furniture, softening a hard-edged floorplate in a way a rectilinear box never manages. It is a piece people design a floor around, not one they hide behind a plant.

Archie Meeting Pod With Glazed Back and Front

Who it suits

The enclosed Archie earns its place where a floor has run out of bookable rooms. If your team is standing in corridors because every meeting room is taken, or your one glass-walled room is permanently occupied by someone on a call, the arithmetic is straightforward: an enclosed pod adds a room to the floorplate without a landlord conversation, a contractor, or a Cat B budget.

It fits particularly well in three situations:

Offices on a lease they may not renew. Building a room means writing the cost off against a space you might leave in three years. A pod goes on the van and comes with you.

Floors with a services constraint. Sprinklers, beams, chilled beams, listed ceilings — anything that makes a stud wall expensive. Archie is free-standing and self-contained, so it works underneath the constraint rather than around it.

Studios and client-facing spaces. The arch does visual work that a rectangular pod does not. If the pod will sit in a reception, a showroom, or an agency floor where clients see it, Archie is the one that looks deliberate.

Configurations

Archie is built to order, so the pod is specified rather than picked off a shelf. The enclosed range runs across three sizes:

Four-person. The one most offices should be looking at. Two sofas facing across a table, comfortable for a project catch-up, a one-to-one with a laptop each, or a client conversation. Wide enough that nobody is negotiating knees, small enough that it does not dominate a floor.

Six-person. A genuine meeting-room replacement. Takes a full team stand-up, a workshop, or a supplier meeting, and takes a wall-mounted screen without complaint. This is the size that removes a booking-system problem rather than easing it.

Two-person. The compact option, for a floor that needs a private call and interview space rather than a meeting room. Smaller footprint, same acoustic and ventilation package.

Each size can be specified with a glazed back wall as well as the front, which is worth considering when the pod sits away from a wall, in the middle of a floor, or anywhere the sightline through the space matters more than the enclosure. Glass front and back keeps the floor feeling open while still closing the room acoustically. Solid back, by contrast, gives you a media wall — the surface a screen mounts to, and the surface that stops a camera picking up the whole office behind whoever is on the call.
