Description

The Sonus M Acoustic Pod is a cosy, two-person meeting pod designed for focused, face-to-face conversations where privacy and ergonomic comfort matter. It delivers the benefits of a built room without the cost, disruption, or complexity of traditional construction, making it an ideal fast-track room-in-room solution for creating quiet space in today’s offices. This is especially useful for architects working with historic or character buildings, where structural constraints can make it difficult or impossible to add conventional meeting rooms.

With the Sonus M, dead spaces and circulation spaces become productive meeting zones rather than wasted floor space. The pod can sit neatly in open-plan offices, be positioned against existing walls, tucked into alcoves, or lined up side by side to create a cluster of private work and meeting spaces.

Left-handed or right-handed doors
• Powder-coated aluminium profile with PVC sealing;
• 5+5 mm laminated and tempered safety glass (TSG)
with acoustic film, clear;
• Clear opening width of the door – 900 mm;
• The top and bottom of the aluminium profile are
covered with 16 mm MFC (melamine) panels with 1 mm
ABS edging.

Double-layered ceiling
• Top layer made of 12 mm thick MFC (melamine) panel
with 1 mm ABS edging;
• Bottom layer made of 12 mm thick MDP (chipboard)
and 9 mm thick PET felt;
• Powder-coated metal profiles;
• Lid for the control unit made of a 1 mm powder-coated
metal sheet and 9 mm thick PET felt;
• PIR sensor mounted in the centre of the ceiling;
• Fan grill made of powder-coated metal sheet;

The recommended height of the room in which the SONUS M will be assembled should be at least 2470 mm.

Two Types for different situations

Choose between two Sonus M configurations, each tailored to a different workplace setting. The version with a glazed back wall is ideal when you want maximum transparency and natural light, especially if you are positioning the pod in front of a window or glass partition. The glass panel maintains sightlines and daylight flow to the space behind the pod, making it a smart choice for open-plan offices, areas near internal glazing, or where preserving a sense of openness is important.

For locations where the pod will sit directly against a solid wall, the Sonus M with a PET felt back panel is the more suitable option, offering a visually calm backdrop and additional acoustic absorption. Both variants deliver the same reliable sound insulation performance, certified to class B, so you can choose your preferred configuration without compromising acoustic comfort.

A power socket with AC and USB fast charger type-A and type-C connectors ensures that you can charge your devices at any time.

When a user leaves the Sonus M Pod, the system automatically activates high-speed ventilation to refresh the space for the next occupant. Designed with energy efficiency in mind, the pod also dims its lights when unoccupied and powers them down completely after a short interval.

Designed for quiet moments and clear conversations

The SONUS M acoustic two-person pod provides outstanding sound insulation, offering a quiet and comfortable retreat within an open-plan office. Certified to ISO 23351-1:2020, the SONUS M meeting pod achieves Sound Insulation Class B. Once the door closes, you’re effectively shielded from surrounding noise, ensuring conversations stay private and undisturbed.
